Trap Nation is an American YouTube music promotion channel based in Los Angeles that showcases Future bass, Chill, and electronic dance music.

Trap Nation was founded in September 2012 by Andre Willem Benz when he was 15 years old, after having an successful Instagram account with the username memesamirite_v2[1]
Trap Nation's subscriber base grew when an upload of San Holo's remix of Dr. Dre's "The Next Episode" gained 23 million views in just seven months.
By the end of 2016, Trap Nation was included in the ten fastest-growing YouTube channels by Tubefilter, receiving an average of 70 million new plays a week.[2][3]
On January 23, 2017, a YouTuber named Vexxed released a video about Andre Willem of Trap Nation of spreading malware and not paying their artists and claiming he has close ties to Lizard Squad.[4] Trap Nation released a statement as a YouTube comment noting that "a lot of the information provided in the video is incorrect and not correctly presented." Andre also claimed that somebody stole his account and used it to "scam people".[5] Vexxed then released a follow-up video with another YouTuber called Glink (who did a separate "investigation" and came to the same conclusion) saying that Trap Nation offered him a $10,000 bribe to his accusation video taken down.[6]
As of 2018, Trap Nation has more than 20 million subscribers and averages 560,000 new subscribers a month.[7] On Spotify, Trap Nation's playlists have over 1 million followers and an average of 200,000 monthly listeners.[8]
